----------
To encourage research and lectures on the works of Mr. Gao Xingjian, an NTNU chair professor, and Nobel laureate in literature, in order to strengthen the foundation of the university's humanistic spirit, NTNU launched the Gao Xingjian Research Subsidy Scheme in 2020. This program subsidizes students or teachers who research the works of Gao Xingjian and his call for a “New Renaissance.” The research may involve various fields such as history, writing, language, philosophy, religion, literature, script writing, and art. This program is offered twice a year, and the application deadline is February and September each year, depending on the dates announced.
