In front of Wenhui Hall on the main campus is a Viennese forest, as well as clusters of coconut palms. The trees stand tall and straight and serve as an elegant backdrop to the quaint, old administrative building. To art students, it serves as a beautiful backdrop.

 

 

Situated between the General Building and the College of Education Building, the plaza faces downwards and is built in the Roman style. The impressive aura makes you feel as if you have been transported back in time to ancient Rome.

 

 

 

 

This sunlight-dappled and tree-lined avenue is situated in front of the Cin, Cheng, Jheng and Pu Buildings. With the light breeze brushing against you, it feels as if even time slows down here. The sound of activity around the avenue pulls you back to reality.

 

The linked levels of the semi-circular library building give readers a sense of never-ending knowledge and unceasing hope. Climb up level-by-level, keep on reading and seek out new knowledge until you reach the top of the hall of knowledge - light and future.

The front entrance of the old library building on the south side of the Bo-Ai Building is represented by stately Greek-style architecture and forms an interesting contrast to the new library building. Together, they tell the tale of old times being replaced by new days.  

 

 

 

On the front side of the Bronze Bust of Confucius can be found the University Motto penned by the 1st Chancellor Liu Zhen, "Sincerity. Integrity. Diligence and Simplicity." On the left side are the words "Eternal Love" also penned by Chancellor Liu and reflects the words of Confucius "Education for all" on the right side. On the back of the bust is Mencius' words of acclaim for Confucius, "Modern Sage".

 

Situated in front of Chung Cheng Hall on the Gongguan campus, an old banyan tree is at the heart of the park surrounded and protected by flourishing palms and blossoming Indian laburnum. It has been said that if you come here at exam time you will get an "all pass" for your exams, so it is also called the "all pass" park.

 

 

 

Behind the administrative building on Gongguan campus is a man-made wetlands rich in  natural habitats. It also serves as a water-purifying system for the administrative building so is also known as the "kidneys of the land”. The paradise fish and frogs effectively control the mosquito population. There are also rushes, water lilies and other aquatic plants adding to the ecological diversity.

On the 8 storey-high white bell tower is written the maxim "Overseas Chinese are the Mother of Revolution". This is the spiritual slogan of the Linkou campus as well as the spiritual maxim of overseas Chinese students.

Zhongting Lake is surrounded by the library, student cafeteria, classrooms and other buildings. The gazebos, small bridges, lake water and fish create a beautiful tapestry of greenery and leisure. This is the perfect location for both staff and students to relax in.
