In 1946, during the Taiwan Provincial College of Education period, the emblem had a dark blue background with the two characters :"Shi Yuan" (Teacher's College) printed in the center. |
In 1955, during the Taiwan Provincial University of Education period, the emblem had an outline of Taiwan in the background with the characters “Shi Da” printed in the center. |
From 1973 the emblem was changed to a circle formed by six wooden bells. It symbolizes going forwards together and working as one to attain a "perfect" education. The colors represent the blue sky and daytime symbolizing the impartiality and forthrightness of those who hold the hallowed position of educator. In the center of the emblem are the two characters "Shi Da" and the character "Tai" (Taiwan) in yellow to symbolize "Taiwan Shi Da". The entire emblem is presented as a flourishing "flower" in full bloom.。 |
